Take the capsule and your chosen pages on the adventure. Bring a pen and a GPS device — you'll need the coordinates.

Go on the Adventure

Choose a place that holds meaning — peaceful, powerful, or symbolic. Go alone, with someone you love, or with everyone.

Step 04

Sit & Write

Fill your pages with memories, lessons, stories, photographs, and whatever your heart needs to preserve. There is no wrong way.

Step 05

Seal the Capsule

Roll your finished pages and mementos inside. Close it securely and add the tick-bag for extra long-term protection.

Step 06

Hide or Bury It

Tuck it under a rock, behind a landmark, in a hollow tree, or anywhere that feels like it belongs. Record the GPS coordinates.

Step 07

Record the Coordinates

Write the GPS coordinates on the Future Keeper card before you leave. This is what the finder — or you — will need.

Step 08

Return Home

Place the Future Keeper card and instructions inside the wooden box. Store the box safely — it stays home, the capsule goes out.

Step 09

Rediscover

One day — years or decades from now — someone will follow the coordinates, find the capsule, and feel exactly what you felt when you left it.

Mountain Hound Adventures began with a simple belief: the stories that matter most — the ones told around campfires, at mountain summits, and on quiet river bends — deserve more than a photo on a phone.

Every capsule is handcrafted in small batches, designed to become part of a family's story. The leatherette. The compass. The walnut box. The aged kraft pages. Every detail is chosen to feel like it belongs in the hands of someone who actually goes on adventures.

The capsule is weather-resistant and designed to protect its contents from moisture. We include a tick-bag insert for extra protection. For long-term burial, we recommend choosing a naturally sheltered spot — under a rock overhang, inside a hollow log, or in a protected cache location.
The memory pages, rolled photographs, small letters, folded mementos, and thin keepsakes all fit beautifully. The capsule holds documents and flat items comfortably. For bulkier keepsakes — coins, small jewelry, seeds — wrap them in the pages themselves before rolling.
The leatherette capsule and metal hardware are designed to last decades when properly hidden. The kraft memory pages are archival-quality. For maximum longevity, place it in a naturally dry, sheltered location or inside a sealed container before burying.
